Nowadays the malls which are being built are the box type structure which is centralized air conditioned.
If we look upon our traditional old markets, then we will understand that these markets are more people friendly for shopping than the malls which are built nowadays.
My focus is to bring back true public spaces in the markets and create all kind of Shopping Experiences. Complex will be having shops varying from the smallest dukaans‘ to the most glamorous air-conditioned shops and large department stores.
A District Centre is proposed near Ranapratap Railway Station, Udaipur. A part of site is left for the hotel while remaining land of 11.5 acre is proposed to be a shopping area with offices which I have taken as my thesis project.
